Orca Whale Model - I'm pretty confident that my rendition captures the basic shape quite accurately.\r\n\r\nWhen it comes to printing and post-processing: So far, I've only used ABS to bring this model to life because I wanted to give it a smooth finish by smoothing it with acetone. The shiny version you see in these images is the result of that process. To get there, I printed it with a brim and supports in place, which meant quite some work was involved after printing to remove the support material and sand down the areas where it touched the model. Be particularly careful when handling those thin fins.\r\n\r\nOverall, I think all the effort was worth it - I'm really pleased with how it turned out.
