Orc Bust wall hanger (fixed)
thingiverse
I admired Lucas Hardi's Orc Bust intensely, but there were a few issues with the mesh around the teeth that caught my eye. His Orc mom surely told him to brush and floss thoroughly after eating those tiny Hobbitsies, but obviously he didn't. Fortunately, NetFabb online repaired some of the cavities, but one tooth required removal. Thankfully, with 3dCoat's assistance, I was able to duplicate one of his healthy teeth and perform a successful transplant operation. I adorned the replacement tooth with gold leaf in my print as a tribute to my newfound skills in Orc dentistry. I also cut out a screw hanger (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:243313) at the back, giving Lucas's model a convenient wall-hanging feature to serve as a warning to the numerous small plastic Orcs that reside in my neighborhood. Lucas deserves praise for his impressive work; I look forward to seeing more from him. Even with some mesh imperfections, several people up here are willing and able to lend their expertise in post-processing and repairing any defects that may arise. This and a lot more about 3D printing were thoroughly discussed on the latest episode of the 3D Printing Today podcast available for download on iTunes, Stitcher radio, or directly from our source at http://threedprintingtoday.libsyn.com/.
