Tribute to the Orbitron, a Kustom Kar masterpiece born in 1965 by Ed Roth's skilled hands. This legendary creator left an indelible mark on the automotive world and comic book history with his beloved cars and Rat Fink comics. After a long period of disappearance, the real Orbitron resurfaced outside an adult bookstore in Juarez, then found its way back to Galpin Motors for a meticulous refurbishment. Today, this iconic vehicle proudly showcases its former glory at a Kentucky exhibit. This 3D model meticulously captures every detail of the sleek blue, futuristic galaxy car, including its interior features like built-in televisions and gas pedals displaying the phrase "Moon". The bubble top effortlessly opens from the front for easy entry, while two hoods are accentuated by striking white stripes. To achieve a realistic shag carpet effect, a normal map texture was utilized; an alternative method involving a hair simulator would require significantly more processing power to generate.
