Orbital Spinning Top

Orbital Spinning Top

EDIT: I found that under strong acceleration it is possible for the four orbital balls to get ripped out of their sockets - maybe use a bit of glue on them. This is a simple spinning top, that uses five ball bearings (9 mm) as weights and tip.To assemble it put the shaft into the orbital body. Align the little holes and stick a short piece of filament into it to lock it in place. This might take a bit of force. It's easier to use one from each side, just make sure to make it equally long to maintain balance. Afterwards press the ball bearings into each socket around the orbital and the tip. Printed in PLA.If you plan to scale it in any way keep in mind that the sockets and the hole for the filament piece changes, too. In Prusasclicer you can simply add a cylinder with 1.8mm diameter as a negativ and make a new hole as you see fit.Have fun.
