Orbit sprinkler timer wheel lock
thingiverse
I use these sprinkler timers in my yard, but my toddler loves to fiddle with the wheel and change settings on them. This prevents the dial from spinning, which limits the chaos caused by pressing the control buttons! It works perfectly. I use the standard duty model: a gentle reminder was enough to keep tiny fingers away, and this one is very easy to remove when needed by pulling straight off the timer. I also created a "heavy-duty" version that has a more secure clamp for output port #3 - it snaps into place nicely when printed in PETG, and the clamp doesn't wobble once attached, yet comes off with reasonable force. I spent some time perfecting the fit between the lock ring and the timer dial, and I was thinking of making a zip-tie compatible version if there's interest from people who have other Orbit timer models that don't have the same output port setup. Only tested on model 56802, feedback is welcome!
