Orbest is an airline based at Lisbon, Portugal, offering leisure charter flights to the Caribbean from Lisbon Portela Airport on behalf of tour operators. The company was established in 2007 by the Orizonia Group. After the collapse of the Orizonia Group, Orbest was purchased by the Barcelo Group. Orbest formerly operated flights to the following destinations: Cuba - Havana Jose Marti International Airport and Varadero Juan Gualberto Gomez Airport [seasonal charter]; Dominican Republic - Punta Cana International Airport and Samana El Catey International Airport; Jamaica - Montego Bay Sangster International Airport; Mexico - Cancun International Airport. Orbest also served Lisbon Portela Airport. As the company changed hands, its routes might be maintained or modified. As of February 2013, the Orbest fleet consists of one Airbus A330-300 registered CS-TRX, leased to Conviasa for flights between Madrid and Caracas. Additionally, Orbest has an Airbus A320 registered EC-LLX and had another registered as EC-LEQ. The airline initially operated a single Airbus A330-200 with registration CS-TRA before upgrading to the current Airbus A330-300, CS-TRX, in 2010.
