Orballo Steel X Axis

Orballo Steel X Axis

This is a heavily remade version of various X_Axis Components. It's still a work in progress, but I've uploaded it for someone else to play with and add their improvements. The Issues with the I3 Steel are that the linear shaft and lead screw are too close for standard 3D Printer Parts. To overcome this, I downloaded a laser cut file and imported the Z Axis mounting bracket, then made the fixing posts for a LMH8LUU Linear Bearing and the brass lead screw nut. Next, I grafted them onto standard X_axis Parts. While doing this, I moved the whole x_axis to the other side of the linear shafts, which gives more room to move and allows more fine adjustment on bed positioning. If I had printed the parts before posting, my Gt2560 wouldn't have blown its main power rail. To be honest, I'm not impressed with the design of that board; some serious modding is needed ASAP. I've made some changes to the Idler as the holes were half a mill out. While doing this, I added extra end stops. When you print the parts, make sure they're as square as possible, especially on the lead screw and bearing mounts. I placed an M3 washer under the sole plate of the bearing as a shim. Once all parts are fitted, complete the final tightening of the bearing - you can distort the alignment of the bearing if not done carefully. I'll be modifying the cable chain mount to compensate for a new bearing mount on the lead screw. Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Pusra I3 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes
