Redesigned Extruder bracket, x_carriage, and x-axis for Orballo i3 style printer. Stock redesign solves several problems: 1. The hot-end no longer touches & melts the x_carriage. 2. Cooling is significantly improved. To achieve this, you'll need a Fan Duct: http://e3d-online.com/E3D-v6/Spares/v6-Injection-Moulded-Fan-Duct?limit=100 (just a couple of dollars for 2). Although the fan duct helped, I still experienced heat creep with PLA. However, ABS prints very reliably. 3. A beefier inductive sensor bracket is located farther away from the bed to allow easier adjustment. Upgrade redesign additionally solves several problems: 1. Threaded rods no longer strip the nuts due to excessive strain - instead, 8mm lead screws and nuts (found on eBay) are used. 2. The original hot end had a heat creep problem that prevented reliable PLA prints. To fix this, I replaced it with a branded E3Dv6 kit: http://e3d-online.com/E3D-v6/Full-Kit/v6-1.75mm-Universal You don't need to print all parts - the Main Body_remodeled_stock hot end.stl file is enough for a Stock Orballo. If you choose to upgrade to E3Dv6, print the other one. The X_Idler and X-Motor files are not required if you're using 8mm lead screws.
