Orb Amplifier for the 2 Way Orb Speaker

This is the amplifier unit designed specifically for my Orb Speaker, offering a basic yet functional setup that allows users to hook up their iPod (or other devices with a headphone jack) and play music at a considerable level through the Orb Speaker. ** You can also use any speaker capable of running up to 12 Watts. The design centers around the Kemo M032 amplifier module, a general-purpose mono amp that comes pre-assembled in a plastic block. All you need to do is connect its five wires to the speaker, power supply, and input, and it's ready to go. The Kemo unit is widely available worldwide (even if not in local shops, eBay can be used as an alternative). Its great advantage lies in being foolproof and running on a wide range of voltage and impedance without requiring soldering components. Additionally, I tested the unit for half a day and found it hardly raised in temperature, making it ideal for mounting in PLA prints. I opted not to include a volume control as suggested in the Kemo module's documentation, instead using my iPod's built-in volume controls. In my version, I used a stereo 3mm jack, soldering two 1kOhm resistors to each stereo input channel and then connecting them together for mono input. The Orb amp design allows the module to fit snugly in the "box." To complete the build, use a 3.5mm stereo jack for sound input, a 3.5mm mono jack for a 12-volt power input, and an RCA jack for output. With just a few screws, a screwdriver, soldering iron, and some solder, you're good to go!
