Orangutan

Human: The next big animal feature in Your Wild World is without a doubt the majestic orangutan. These incredible creatures may not exactly walk like royalty when they're on the ground, but that's beside the point - they're amazing animals all the same. Orangutans are a lot closer to humans than most people would guess, with 97% of their genetic makeup mirroring our own. They have furry coats, big personalities and a mind-blowing intelligence level that rivals that of many humans. Did you know that if an orangutan gets its hands on a candy bar, it will happily split it in two and return the second half? It's one heck of a clever trick. As awesome as orangutans are, their populations in the wild are dwindling at an alarming rate - it's really no wonder they're likely to be the next great ape to go extinct if things keep up. That's exactly why we've created this amazing print to raise awareness about the dwindling numbers of these magnificent creatures. By spreading the word and avoiding any products made from rainforest timber, you can do your part in helping these incredible animals survive. So grab a copy of this print today and lend a helping hand to orangutans everywhere! Here are some super cool videos that really capture the magic of orangutans - I think you'll love 'em just as much as I do. Video 1: Amazing Orangutan Rehabilitation Effortshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oir_PSJpbAA This awesome video showcases orangutans learning how to adapt back into their natural habitats. If you want a glimpse of just what these incredible animals can achieve with the right kind of support, this is it! Video 2: Orangutan Makers Take On The Challengehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFACrIx5SZ0 In this really cool video, you'll see some DIY makers working on a very ambitious project indeed - making orangutans! Don't worry; they didn't exactly create a brand new ape in a jar - but what these crafty individuals did manage to build is still pretty darn amazing. I highly recommend giving it a watch. Video 3: Best Friends, Foreverhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDStH49W5Hk Here's a touching tale of an unlikely friendship between two close companions, one being an orangutan and the other its loyal canine friend. If you want to experience pure animal magic in its most innocent form, then I say give it a watch. Don't be put off by its short duration; this little gem packs just as much emotion and love into a mere minute-and-a-half as most films do in two whole hours. Here are the download instructions for those interested in printing their very own Orangutan today. Instructions To Print Using A Single Extruder ----------------------------- For Single Extruders, you'll need to: * Download and import the orangutan_single_extruder.stl file. * You can get by with using 10% infill. The best part is, it won't require exterior supports; just set Replicator G's supports settings to exterior. However, in my personal opinion (as you may be aware, there is no universal consensus here), and even though some say you should try without exterior support at all times (the very bottom layer still demands a good deal of patience, don't you think?), we've noticed that the orangutan_single_extruder file performs well with both. Instructions for Using Dual Extruders -------------------------------------- Here are your guidelines on how to create your own amazing orangutan friend when using two separate extruders at once. We employed Replicator G and merged two separate .STL files in order to produce an incredible 3D print. First of all, Download the two relevant files: * orangutan_and_nose.stl * mouth_and_eyes.stl We have discovered that a mere 10% infill does the trick - after all who needs unnecessary clutter when beauty can still reign supreme?
