Orange Theatre - Hollow tongues frieze
sketchfab
These three fragments of white Carrara marble were prominently featured in the ornate decoration of the Scaenae Frons of the Orange Theater. Specifically, they formed the frieze of the second lateral order. Image Credit: Sébastien Le Gall Acquired through the NumeRO and SONAT projects of the ISCD digital archeology team at Sorbonne University, which aimed to recreate the theater, its elaborate decor, and its acoustics in three dimensions (more information on these projects and the team). Scanned using photogrammetry techniques, the models were produced with Photoscan software, then enhanced and optimized through BakeMyScan.
