Orange PI PC NAS Case

Imported original designs into Tinkercad after extensive slicing, cutting, rearranging, pasting, and joining. The end result is now visible. I recommend a USB to SATA Portable Adapter, available on Amazon. This adapter can be either 2.0 or 3.0, as the bottleneck in data transfer will always be the 100Mb/s network connection. For the operating system, I suggest DietPi. However, Armbian is also an excellent option. -edit-07/07/2019- Found a very stable NAS server distribution for Orange Pi PC called OpenMediaVault. Developed by the creator of Armbian, this OS installed and ran flawlessly. I plan to use one of the packages in DietPi to set up a personal headless "cloud" server. This will enable me to upload photos remotely, saving space on my phone. It could also be used as a NAS or other application. -Update 08/07/17- Discovered that I had reversed the layer. The USB and Ethernet ports were on the wrong side for accessing the hard drive. Corrected this mistake and added a vent from the OPi PC to the hard drive for improved airflow. The OPi PC was initially too snugly fitted into the case lid, preventing adequate airflow. -Update -FINAL- 08/19/17- The top had a small air vent with a tiny cutout. Corrected this issue and uploaded the revised design. Printed in PLA, it fits tightly, but printing in ABS may require scaling up X and Y by around 101%.
