Orange part blade holder Repair for GARDENA Comfort Grass shears, rotatable
thingiverse
I'm repairing my broken gardena orange ABS part for the grass shears due to constant spring pressure and weather fatigue causing the plastic mounting for the screws to break. Fortunately, I've managed to avoid replacing the top lid so far, but if you need that as well, please leave a comment. Here's a perfect replacement if you're not willing to spend 30 EUR on a new pair of grass shears - I'm definitely not splurging that amount! It was enjoyable creating this. For me, creation and sharing are half the fun of 3D printing. To please my optical sensors, I've added an eye-catching red CAD rendering. I've made the bottom of the part extra thick to ensure it works with just PLA material. No need for fancy materials here. If you do use better material and want a sleek look, simply sink the part 1mm into the buildplate in your slicer to achieve a smooth finish. I've opted not to reuse the dowel pin; instead, I've screwed a screw through the top plate so it hits the hole for the dowel pin, which I think is an upgrade. If you want to reuse the dowel pin, however, it might require some persuasion to get into position.
