Oral-B electric toothbrush head holder
thingiverse
This holder was designed specifically to allow for the drying of my Oral-B electric toothbrush's head. It has been carefully crafted to hook onto my Jonathan Adler bathroom toothbrush holder, clipping on neatly at its edge and allowing water to drip freely. The design includes a thoughtful notch that positions the head precisely, preventing it from slipping or sliding around. I've also made sure to minimize the surface interaction between the head and the holder, reducing areas where water can collect and develop mold. Other designs I've seen place the brush head upside down, but this only seems to trap water and encourage mold growth. This design aims to prevent that issue altogether. This part was created using AutoDesk Fusion 360, a powerful tool for 3D modeling and design. Update 2018-4-1: V9 - I've fixed a problem with the length of the holder so that it can now accommodate the head properly. The legs have also been made longer to provide better stability. Update 2018-4-4: V10 - After printing this part, I decided to deepen the chamfers and make the overall design slightly wider for added support. Update 2018-4-18: V11 - In a final revision, I reversed some of the changes made in V10. The part has been slimmed down, the legs have been shortened to match each other perfectly, and less material is used overall. This should be the definitive design.
