Lore: At the subterranean origin site of corruption, the discovery of the mysterious mineral Blight was met initially with a divisive response from the kingdom. The entities that inevitably helped the Cardinal’s misguided stance on Blight indoctrination, were parasitic Eldritch worms which would later be deemed oracles by the Church of Sepsis. Broken after decades of the misguided ruling of the Queen, the legion of the Hive were easily impressionable and susceptible to a faith greater than themselves. When these parasites arrived by the dozen on the doorsteps of the Colony, they began the catalyst of organized religion and faith in a cosmic force. As a species they take on a form similar to the cosmic Elder worm prophesied by the Cardinal, an image that the Oracle’s could bless into the wary minds of the Hive populace. The colony believes that the word of these beings are to be followed in order to properly ascend to the astral realm of Beelzebub. The Oracle’s speak telepathically through their hosts, boast vast intelligence and seem to have an insidious unknown agenda of their own.
