OPTIMUS PRIME LEADER CLASS ROTF POSEABLE HANDS
pinshape
Human: Designing poseable hands for ROTF Leader Class Optimus Prime requires precision and attention to detail. The wrist and thumb are engineered on a ball joint, allowing for flexibility and movement, while the rest of the fingers are articulated on each phalanx. This design enables the palm to accommodate 5 mm weapons, just like the custom blaster I created and showcased on this site. To assemble the hands, simply piece them together without the need for glue. The file includes a complete hand, allowing you to mirror it and print the other side. When swapping out the original hands, disassemble the forearm carefully, taking note of the springs that control the blades. While attaching these hands may present some challenges during the final transformation stage from robot to vehicle mode, they can still be made to fit with a minimal gap near the front grill. In fact, detaching the hands from the wrist ball joint can improve the overall assembly, ensuring a seamless fit. To maintain scale accuracy, I've adjusted the wrist size, but further reductions in hand size are not feasible without compromising the figure's proportions.
