Optimized G-clamp
thingiverse
A compact and functional weight-optimized G-clamp that's been thoroughly simulated and modeled using Fusion 360. For optimal strength, print the clamp flat on its side. When printing the screw, stand it upright with the ball on top and the pad facing its flat, square patterned side. This will help ensure a strong bond between the parts. To achieve the best results, use supports for both the clamp and the screw. If possible, remove any support material that might interfere with the threads in your slicer. The parts are solidly modeled using the weight-optimized shape as a reference. Alternatively, you can opt for an organic shape, but be aware that adding the thread manually in your slicer will require more effort. Printing this design standing upright with supports is recommended.
