The ULA Rocket Hardware challenge submission features a 0.084 lb, 2.43 in^3 support bracket optimally designed for FDM 3D printing without support material. Analyzed in ANSYS, the bracket withstood a 600lb load's maximum stress of 4098 PSI, well below the design requirement of 4500PSI. A modal analysis revealed its first mode natural frequency at 2912Hz, above any frequencies affecting launch vehicle dynamics. With a maximum stress due to vehicle vibration (14.1Grms) at only 15PSI, this bracket is proven to survive launch without issues, showcasing sound engineering design and ease of manufacturing.
