In order to optimize the design, I employed solidThinking Inspire and optistruct. The mass of the bracket was substantially decreased from 0.894 kg to a mere 0.394 kg, resulting in an impressive 55.9% reduction in weight. Additionally, the factor of safety for each of the three load cases were 1.2, 1.3 and 1.3 respectively. My experience with Inspire confirmed that it is a highly effective and user-friendly optimization tool.
