OptiMinimal rev6 - 70% Matrix Keyboard plate & case
thingiverse
Designing a matrix keyboard involves creating the top plate and case, which are crucial components of this device. The design process begins with determining print settings that will ultimately impact the quality of the final product. Printer Brand: Up! Choosing the right printer is essential in this endeavor. In this case, I opted for the Up Mini due to its reliability and accuracy. Rafts: Yes When printing the top plate and case, it's essential to consider using rafts, which help stabilize the print during the initial layers. This ensures a strong foundation for the rest of the print. Supports: Doesn't Matter In this design, supports were not necessary due to the geometry of the top plate and case. However, if you're printing more complex designs, supports may be required to prevent overhangs from collapsing. Resolution: 0.2mm A resolution of 0.2mm was chosen for this project to achieve a high level of detail in the final product. This setting also helps minimize layer shifting and ensures a smooth finish.
