DESIGN: Trophy that showcases all possibilities offered by additive manufacturing. The MJF piece is crafted to display a lattice structure and Voronoi diagram, allowing for an organic finish and reduced density in construction. This design yields an aesthetic finish that also simplifies construction and post-processing. The SLA piece generates a diagrid on its surface, encompassing the entire central area of the MJF piece. The design was created using Rhino / Grasshopper + Blender. Thanks to this parametric program, it is possible to create structures optimized for AM. Renderings were generated with Blender / Cycles. FINISH: My idea for this design involves utilizing classic colours associated with technologies. The MJF piece features the traditional black tinting. The SLA piece is crafted from Protolabs' transparent material.
