Optical Mouse
thingiverse
This is a fully functional 2-piece computer mouse designed to work seamlessly with my optical sensor board, featured on my indiegogo project listed below. A convenient tab on the front of the base plate allows the top shell to slide into place, after which it's just a matter of screwing the top down using a 2.5mm x 20mm machine screw. Print with support. NOW AVAILABLE! I've managed to do a small production run and the sensor boards are now available on Tindie at https://www.tindie.com/products/tom10122/adns-3050-sensor-board/ Indiegogo - https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/adns-3050-optical-gaming-sensor# Code - https://github.com/Tom101222/Adns-3050-Optical-Sensor Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa I3 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: .15mm Infill: 30 Post-Printing Removing support is a breeze, as there's built-in material on both sides of the mouse buttons and under the arch for the wire. To make this process easier, I recommend using an X-acto or another thin blade to cut it off. The "Buttons" should move freely without clipping/hitting the rest of the frame. Switches The two buttons are mounted with 2 M2 x 20mm machine screws and nuts. For a secure connection, solder the wires to the switch at a 90-degree angle so there's enough room. Board and Lens The lens falls into place in the recessed rectangle in the middle, then the sensor board goes on top of that. Make sure the yellow kapton tape is removed from the sensor and that it fits correctly into the lens. After that, just screw the board down. Top shell The bottom baseplate tab slides into the top shell, which is secured with a M2.5 machine screw.
