Optical Filament Sensor with Drive Gear - for 1.75mm filament

I was searching for a high-end filament sensor for my HEVO and came across this link - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3400544. However, during testing and fast printing I noticed that PETG and sometimes other filaments were slipping over the used screw. So, I decided to design one myself using an extruder drive gear. In doing so, I also stumbled upon this alternative version - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2515750. Version 1.0 is now complete and working on my printer. Currently, I'm developing a smaller version of the sensor. This sensor works with Duet firmware and RepRap firmware. However, I am unsure if other firmware supports this type of filament sensor.
