Simple Filament Detector Module Uses an optical sensor to instantly detect when filament is in its path. No mechanical springs or endstops are used - ensuring infinite life. Fully compatible with the MMU2, as filament is completely contained and features a spot for an M10 fitting that securely locks a Bowden tube in place. Hemera Compatible - can fit inside the Hemera's envelope when mounted vertically. Bracket included for easy OmniPack installation. BOM (Amazon links are affiliate links - Complete kit available upon request) Printed: 1 x Base 1 x Lever Purchased: 1 x Optical Endstop sensor 3 x M3x10mm screws 1 x 8mm Diameter Steel Ball 2 x Magnets, 5mm OD, 2mm Thick 2 x PTFE Tubes, 4mm OD (Optional) 1 x M10 Fitting, 4mm Tube OD (Optional) Ideal installation involves attaching the M10 fitting to the input side and securing the filament sensor relative to the extruder - Refer to the OmniPack photo for guidance. The optical sensor uses two M3 screws - Ideally 10mm long, threaded into the plastic base, then clamped onto a mounting bracket using the remaining thread as a stud.
