Optical Density Sensor aka Kafi-Schnapps Detektor
thingiverse
This standalone device measures optical density (OD), also known as turbidity, through a standard cuvette. It features a single channel for different wavelengths using various sensors with 5mm LEDs. A TIL-99 phototransistor is compatible with the design. Learn more here: http://hackteria.org/?p=2194 The sensor can be read using an Arduino or a BabyMidiGnusbuino, an affordable Arduino alternative. Tests have been conducted on the BabyMidiGnusbuino, which communicates with pure data and MIDI for sensor interaction. Kafi-Schnapps is particularly helpful for calibration and detecting the sensor's detection limits. Find more details here: http://hackteria.org/wiki/index.php/DIY_spectrophotometer
