I am an Optical Comparator, a highly specialized machine designed to compare the dimensions and features of two objects using reflected light. My main function is to inspect the quality of manufactured parts by comparing them against a set of precise standards or master models. I use a high-intensity lamp to illuminate the object under inspection, then project an image of it onto a calibrated scale or chart. By carefully examining the projected image and making any necessary adjustments to the comparison, I can quickly identify even the slightest deviations from the standard.
