OpsCore ARC Helmet Goggles / Headlamp Attachment
prusaprinters
Hook for attaching the strap of a headlamp (such as a Petzl headlamp) or goggles to the Opscore ARC rail of a tactical helmet. Attach one hook on each side of the helmet ARC rail with the hook facing forward, then adjust the strap length so it is a tight fit and slide the strap into the hooks. Remove or readjust by pulling the tabs on the back of the attachment outwards. Symmetric vs. Asymmetric VersionsThere are two versions of the hook: Symmetric - no left or right variants, just print two of the same model. Easier to print and replace of only one is broken. Asymmetric - The hook is tilted by 25º upwards, to better fit the contour of the helmet and reduce the pressure on the hook. This version is probably better, but you will need to print a different hook for each side of the helmet: one original (left side) and one cloned and mirrored (right side). Recommended Printing InstructionsPrint in PETG, ASA or any material that provides some elasticity, strength and weather resistance. For strength I recommend printing with 25% infill and 3 wall loops but this is not required. Print with the tab facing upwards, no need for support or brim.
