Ops Core Helmet Goggle Attachments
thingiverse
I designed a goggle attachment for my Ops Core helmet using the Arch Rail mount from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:734608. The attachments slide into the lower back part of the rail, creating a bracket that holds goggles in place. They may not be visually appealing but they work effectively. This is the final version; an earlier print had some flaws (it was too long and had overhangs). I recommend printing with 15% infill or more to achieve better results. The left and right attachments fit snugly inside, making them invisible but helping users position them correctly. Some edges may need smoothing with sandpaper as they can be sharp after printing, potentially damaging goggle elastics. The straps are angled horizontally, so users can adjust the attachments up or down until eye level is achieved. Additionally, the attachments are set at a slight angle to accommodate headsets, allowing the elastic of the goggles to sit outside any headsets. I don't use a flip-up headset attached to my helmet but instead wear one that fits over my head under the helmet. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.
