I'm thrilled to finally share this project update with all of you after a long wait, and I'm excited to announce that v16a is here - yes, 16! I've put in a lot of testing to make sure it's ready for prime time. This version uses the same electronics as before but comes with a smaller battery. You can either totally 3D print it or upgrade with a few metal turned parts to give it an extra boost. The chassis has undergone significant improvements, and I'm excited to share that the suspension system is similar to the one used on Mini Z. Plus, you can access all the electronics from the bottom without having to remove the body for charging or messing around with the electronics. I've also left space for future upgrades like suspension springs and diff. As it stands, the chassis has a minimum wheelbase of 92mm. This version is specifically designed to fit the Civic 2007 Coupe body, but it can easily be adapted to bigger cars like the Dodge Challenger by making a few modifications to increase the wheelbase. For smaller or lower cars like the Ferrari F40, you'll need to make some bigger changes.
