This trap, inspired by the traditional German "Kastenfalle," is designed for capturing small animals like rats, shrews, and mice. It's a humane trap that allows you to check your catch before deciding whether to release it. The design has been reworked for optimal use of a laser cutter and scaled down from its original fox-trap size. After initial assembly in the HONFablab, Yogyakarta, further optimizations are ongoing. Metal parts consist of standard nails and rods in various sizes. Earlier versions were handcrafted with Mr. Gaudi at Fablab Unteres Tisloo during the FolkCulture Hackathon over New Year 2013/14.
