OpenTactics (Trollborn Assault)

OpenTactics (Trollborn Assault)

myminifactory

Introducing the first beta test of our groundbreaking OpenTactics project. Combining elements from both boardgames and miniature wargames, OpenTactics leverages the core dice system from Pocket-Tactics games and takes action to a whole new level with massive modular terrain scale that complements each character perfectly. We aim for an expansive experience where players can create their own characters and share them freely with the community, gathering all content in a shared online library right here on Thingiverse and our very own site. INSTRUCTIONS: For this initial test, we're pitting a fierce viking war party against a detachment of human/troll hybrids. To play out this scenario, print some combination of at least 9 tiles - or more if you want to create an even larger map - making sure to form a river in the center using the water tiles. Print at least one catwalk and place it in the middle as a bridge. Set up the map, choosing opposite sides for deployment, with the bridge serving as a key objective. You'll need to print the following models: PLAYER ONE (Viking Freeman x2, Viking Raider x2, Viking Guard x2, Jarl's Champion x1, Vala x1), PLAYER TWO (Trollspawn Brute x2, Trollspawn Lobber x2, Trollspawn Warrior x2, Trollspawn Wolfrider x1, Runescarred x1). We're eager to hear your thoughts on the gameplay, ideas, and directions you'd like to see this project take. If you print and play, be sure to post a make and shoot us a message here or at [email protected]. We've set up a Patreon page for anyone interested in supporting us, which will enable us to continue creating free and open-sourced games like OpenTactics, Pocket-Tactics, Discord, and others. Not to mention our growing catalog of gaming miniatures that you're free to use as you see fit! (Psst... we take requests and commissions...)
