OpenScan Controller Faceplate
thingiverse
I recently constructed the OpenScan 3D scanner from openscan.eu and thingiverse.com/thing:3050437. The control panel's front looked somewhat plain, so I designed an add-on front for it. Not only does it look better, but it also labels the buttons, power switch, and output ports. Furthermore, it increases the size of the buttons, making navigation in the menus much easier. Instead of designing holes for the protruding mounting screws, I drilled out the existing holes and countersunk them. These are circled in red in the photo of the controller base. The faceplate is securely attached with glue. The model was created in Fusion 360. The design file is included to allow customization of the text if desired. Unfortunately, the orientation is not ideal - you will need to rotate it to lay flat on the printer bed. I have included the gcode file I used for printing on my Prusa i3 Mk3 that includes color changes and custom top layer infills.
With this file you will be able to print OpenScan Controller Faceplate with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on OpenScan Controller Faceplate.
