I'm curious about creating an animal model in OpenSCAD with jointed legs that print in place. It's actually quite manageable! This particular design prints with zero infill and no support, but I did encounter some issues during gcode printing due to a quirky slicer setting (I'm still using Cura 15). The problem arose when the tips of the spines were printed too quickly, so I adjusted the "outer shell speed" to a slower value and that resolved the issue.
