openSCAD Parametric Filament Spool Adapter

Human: Adapted from Parametric Spool Hub by hdonk found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:28046. The primary motivation behind this remake was to resolve issues with mesh connection between spokes and hub. Adjustments have been made to soften the edges where filament spools are inserted, and the number of cylindrical facets now accurately corresponds to the diameter of the adapter. For users and others who wish to tailor their design, the openSCAD script is thoroughly annotated. The STL file provided merely demonstrates a 52mm-diameter spool adapter with an 8mm axle hole, though variations are possible by adjusting parameter settings within the openSCAD script. Additional features in the gallery illustrate some of the spool adapter styles created with this script. To utilize this model: Edit the openSCAD script to specify desired characteristics. Create an STL file using openSCAD software. Print the final product. Use as needed.
