In the continuation of my http://openscad.org gear set project, I encountered issues with unioning top and bottom parts in double helical gears, resulting in a 0.1mm offset. Nevertheless, it prints correctly. This creation is part of a collection featuring spur gears available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1336. A recent update involved rectifying errors within the openSCAD script; 'orientation' was non-functional, and 'extrudeInDiam' was misused as radius. These issues have been resolved, and an updated version of the script has been uploaded. The file supports parameters such as height, pitch diameter, shaft diameter, double helical features, number of teeth, addendum, dedendum, tooth width, angle, orientation, shape (solid, star, circles), extrude in and out (diameter, height), and rome (pitch diameter, gear height, number of teeth, addendum, dedendum, tooth width, rotation).
