OpenSCAD DXF Cookie Cutter - for Llamas
thingiverse
Brandonh on Thingiverse reminded me of an old cookie cutter design I uploaded over two years ago in Google Sketchup. It had numerous issues, so I decided to improve it using OpenSCAD. First, I stripped the Sketchup file down to its 2D llama cross-section and exported it as a DXF using a plugin. Next, I imported the DXF into OpenSCAD and wrote a script to transform it into a functional cookie cutter. The script allows you to choose between two types of cutters: a blocky one with a cutting edge similar to the entire cutter's outline or a slim one that closely follows the object shape. The latter is more aesthetically pleasing but takes longer to render in OpenSCAD. After creating your cookie cutter, feel free to print it out and bake some delicious llama-shaped cookies!
