OpenScad 608 Linear bearing
thingiverse
I'm currently working on a redesign of the linear bearing in OpenSCAD to make it easier to modify. The process is ongoing, but I've been testing with 18mm or 1/2inch EMT from Home Depot and regular old 608zz skateboard bearings. Update 12/3: I've switched to using SolidPython as my modeling language since it renders SCAD files. You can find the rendered SCAD file included along with the original Python code I used. By doing so, I was able to significantly reduce waste and tighten up tolerances in the design. Additionally, I modified the center of the bearing to have a round section surrounding the rail. You can also check out a video of me working on it at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6dFjna7aAY. The project is still a work in progress.
