OpenROV QuickClip System
thingiverse
Attach custom payloads to your OpenROV with ease. The OpenROV Quickclip payload system is designed to rapidly attach basic tools to the payload bay of OpenROV2.7+ using 3D printed parts and o-rings or rubber bands. Quickclip parts fit between two forward-position rods and are easily attached and detached. This package includes: Quickclip Grab: ideal for pilot training, perfecting the art of recovering objects from the seafloor. Quickclip Line Follower: attach your OpenROV to an anchor or drum-line using a carabiner. Great for inspecting anchor attachment, checking baited hooks, or following a transect. Use a heavy gauge circle hook with the barb removed to follow a line to the bottom and quickly release. Quickclip Blank: build your own easily attachable tools using this blank (Google Sketchup and .stl files included). Infill density depends on the weight and balance of your ROV. Watch the QuickClip in action at OpenROV Debrief: Shark Tagging in Miami. Contribute to ocean science and conservation projects like this by supporting my Patreon.
