OpenRC Truggy Central Torsen Limited Slip Differential
thingiverse
Managed to miniaturize Torsen Limited Slip Differential small enough to fit Truggy with only minimal hardware modifications. Key components requiring changes are Central Diff Cases, Top Decks, and Diff itself, of course. N24 D12, N16 D16, and N8 D8 parts printed at 0.1mm resolution, others at 0.2mm precision. For central diff, PETG material was utilized. Unfortunately, outdoor run footage wasn't captured, but the differential runs aggressively. A notable difference exists between open diff and torsen, with one caveat: occasional turn radius issues arise. Overall, a successful outcome has been achieved. Now, it's significantly easier to control in straight lines at full speed on slippery roads, whereas with an open diff, constant spinning occurs. After five minutes of intense use, the front diff broke, but the Truggy still runs on rear wheels due to the central diff being a LSD. For pins, 3mm diameter nails from a local store were purchased and cut to 23mm length. STEP files have been added for reference.
