OpenRC Truggy Ball Differential
thingiverse
I've had no luck with openrc gear differentials. So I created a ball differential that's designed to fit snugly into a slightly modified truggy differential housing. This one's a major departure from the usual tiny gears - it's a straightforward design that works well in testing, but we'll have to wait and see how it performs under actual use. In addition to standard truggy parts, this ball differential also requires: 8mm x 24mm x 2mm fender washers (two of them) 4mm x 9mm x 4mm ball bearings (one needed) 4mm x 9mm x 4mm thrust bearings (one required) M4x20mm countersink screws and nuts (one necessary) BB gun BBs - invest in high-quality steel ones, as the cheap copper-coated ones often have pits that render them useless.
