A new OpenRC Tractor tool is out! Makit presents…THE LIFTER. Get ready for a blast of fun with this innovative new OpenRC Tractor tool. Here's what you'll need: Materials: Plastic parts Screws and nuts Cables Check the BOM pdf file from the download link You'll also need: A motor An ESC (Electronic Speed Controller) Important: When connecting two ESCs with the same battery, make sure they're compatible. Connecting incompatible ESCs can cause problems or damage your electronics. To control both the tractor motors and the lifter motor, you'll need an additional ESC controller for the lifter motor. I used one that matches my main ESC but has a brake feature for the tractor motor. The other ESC is identical but without the brake feature. You'll also need: An ESC controller for the main tractor micro motors (with brake) An ESC controller for the lifter motor (without brake) A micro motor An RC radio transmitter and receiver combo that lets you control the lifter motor. Not all radios allow this, so make sure yours does. In my case, I use a specific radio combo and connect the lifter motor ESC to channel 3. To control it, I use a potentiometer. Other essentials: A battery Lipo batteries require special care. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and read the FAQ section for more information on LIPO batteries.
