OpenRC Tractor
pinshape
One day in 1971 my dad bought his very first tractor. Today marks its 45th anniversary, and I'm proud to unveil my latest creation, the OpenRC Tractor. It's an open-source, one-tenth scale replica of a classic Ebro 160D tractor that I designed from scratch and 3D printed every part. I then added some electronics, nuts, and bolts to bring it to life! I've also put together some basic instructions and a Bill of Materials (BOM) so you can easily print and assemble your very own OpenRC Tractor. This design is optimized for ease of printing, with no supports needed on any part. Some things to keep in mind: As an optional feature, you'll find different country plates. There's one for Spain and one for Sweden because there are already OpenRC tractors in both countries. If you print your tractor and want a plate with your country's letters, just leave a comment and I'll try to add it. The recommended motors have poor torque, which means they work well on smooth surfaces but not off-road. I'm working on a mod to upgrade the tractor with a more powerful motor (coming soon!). I used the same bearings as OpenRC Formula 1 to make it easier for those who already have the F1 model. And here's the best part: you can design your own tools! With OpenRC Tractor, the possibilities are endless. Some tools are coming soon... (check out the video and more pictures at makitpro.com) There's a lot of work that went into this project, so I hope you like it and can't wait to see your prints!
