After creating rear suspension for Daniel's OpenRC F1 car, I decided it was essential to find a way to make rear suspension work seamlessly. After multiple attempts, I'm thrilled to say I've achieved success! Utilizing the same battery terminal springs, "AA" this time, I managed to fit in a fully functional rear suspension system. The file "Chassis Rear_Suspension" has been uploaded to provide accurate mounting holes and eliminate some of the original ones that are no longer necessary. I have shared a quick video demonstrating how it works: https://youtu.be/7EPDpDtVf3I And a driving demo with all three of my designs installed on the car: https://youtu.be/g154r7Dcjas Front Suspension: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1455120 Rear Suspension: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1455132 Standard F1 Rubber Tire Adapters: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1337521 Instructions: Print all of the pieces listed below and assemble as shown in the pictures above, replacing the originals. DO NOT print the file "Rear Suspension Assembled". I posted it to aid with assembly. This system utilizes several of the following battery terminals for springs: Keystone 5220 Link: http://www.amazon.com/KEYSTONE-FEMALE-BATTERY-CONNECTOR-SOCKET-COMPATIBLE-BLACK/ I began with three of the springs (they slide into the part called "spring holder" and ended up using four of them for increased support. You could use anywhere between two and five of them depending on the weight of your car and how stiff you want the suspension. Enjoy! 8/23/16 - Added rear chassis with original mounting holes as requested.
