OpenRc F1 Rainlight and Diffuser with working Rainlight
thingiverse
This is a remix of Rainlight_and_Diffuser.stl used in the awesome OpenRC F1 car - 1:10 RC Car project. The original version features a fake rainlight, but I wanted to add a working one, so I edited the Rainlight_and_Diffuser part slightly. Two LED's from this light strip (1m 144 IP30 version) were used and connected to a tiny arduino pro mini module. A 5V version of the pro mini was chosen to take advantage of the power provided by the receiver. The arduino code to control the LED's is also available for download. Different solutions can be used for the rainlight, but an Arduino isn't necessary here. I decided to use one and the light strip because it utilizes very bright and multi-color WS2812B led's, allowing for additional functionality such as different colors or blink frequencies when the car's lipo is running low.
