Update: Design Optimizations, Original Files in v1 Files Archive Hello Everyone, Here is my updated design with a fix for the front wheels. Please consult the instructions below. This is a tire mod for the OpenRC F1 project created by Daniel Noree (barspin). You can find the project here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1193309 I had extremely limited grip with my TPU tires and wanted more. I had this set of on-road 1:10 tires lying around. I know they look a bit silly, but the grip is amazing; eventually, I will buy some F104 tires. Information: For the rear tires, it's quite straightforward: simply push the hub onto the existing wheel axle and then slot the tire in place; you'll need a longer M3*12mm screw. For the front wheels, follow these steps and pictures below: You will have three parts for the front: axle part 1 and part 2, and the locking nut. You will also need two M3x12mm countersunk screws, three M2x8/10mm screws, and an M3 nut. Firstly, insert the bearings into the axle Part 1; then slide it onto the existing axle, secure it with the locking nut using an M3 screw. Next, screw the second M3 screw upwards through axle P2, then secure axle P2 to P1 with the M2 screws. Finally, place the wheel on axle P2 and use the M3 nut to lock the wheel in place. Please refer to the pictures for additional information.
