OpenRC F1 Motor Mount for 2212 Motors
thingiverse
This is the correct axle holder for the OpenRC F1 car. I've made changes to the model so that it has mounting holes for a 2212 outrunner motor. These motors are less expensive than the one specified and they work extremely well in my experience. You will need to use a smaller pinion! The set of pinions provided by tahustvedit includes several options; I recommend using the smallest one. The motor I am currently using is a Racerstar 2212 2450kv brushless outrunner from banggood. I'm confident that most 2212 motors will be compatible as long as they come with the mounting plate in place. If you choose to use a motor with a lower kv rating, a 3s LiPO battery may be required. In any case, it is still an extremely fast setup.
