OpenRC F1 Front Spoiler flexible mount and stronger spoiler
thingiverse
Tried to improve the original design of the front spoiler from barspin's OpenRC F1 by making it stronger at the point where it often breaks when hitting something with the spoiler. The improved design features a flexible mount that allows the spoiler to move during an impact instead of breaking directly, resulting in better durability. So far, it has worked well for me, but I still recommend avoiding hard hits whenever possible. This upgraded spoiler can be printed in two parts: part 1 is made from PLA and part 2 is made from a flexible material, such as TPU from FormFutura. If you have any questions or suggestions on how to further improve the design, please leave a comment. Here are the print settings used for this project: Printer: Geeetech Prusa I3 Pro B Rafts: No rafts were used Supports: Yes, supports are required for the spoiler Resolution: 0.2 mm layer thickness Infill: 10% infill density Important note: For the spoiler, you will need to use support material, but the mounting part can be printed flat on the print bed without any support.
