OPENRC F1 Deep Groove Rain Tires for MRRF2018
thingiverse
To promote the #MRRF2018 and the #OpenRC #F1 World Championships https://www.matterhackers.com/open-rc-contest, I wanted to contribute with new deep groove tires (for the original OpenRC F1 car rims) that hopefully will flex nicely and give good grip on the race track (if not they at least look pretty nice if I may say so myself). If you would rather use my low profile tires, I recommend these versions: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1274262 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1272295 Perhaps it's also a good idea to make your car more crash-safe before racing: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1884110 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1968442 And if you think a diff will help when using the low-profile tires, these rims will help: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2716222 (the differential designed by Tor Arne Hustvedt can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2361718) These tires are designed for printing with 0.4 or 0.7mm nozzles. Emanuel from http://te3d.se/ https://www.instagram.com/te3d.se/ helped me in this project to validate print-ability, he used my 85 shore A ETPU 85-700+ Carbon Black and a 0.7mm nozzle. The pics/prints shown here are from him, thanks Emanuel! https://youtu.be/bCwoDaUWUdo https://youtu.be/V9oCjIByUcA For more information regarding the F1 car and also the other Open-RC projects head over in these directions: http://danielnoree.com/ https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2123450 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1193309 Enjoy and good luck in the race! Please also check out my unique UV-stable, flexible and conductive filament called ETPU 95-250 Carbon Black filament. Don't need the conductivity? Well the conductivity is great for some things but perhaps not your first choice? Then consider this: This filament will give you some really nice benefits if the conductivity is not an advantage for your 3D printed design: • The material composition eliminates "stringing / webbing" issues. • The hardness of 95 shore A and the carbon black filler makes for great print abilities. • The carbon black filler is an excellent UV stabilizer thus the prints are built to last in very harsh environments. • The matte black surface finish has a very exclusive look. • The material feels very nice and dry to touch. • It's not too stretchy and will do great for timing belts etc. http://rubber3dprinting.com/ http://palmiga.com/ Follow me on Instagram and/or Twitter: http://instagram.com/rubber3dprinting https://twitter.com/rubber3dprint Due to the nature of 3D printing / material used etc...
