On May 10, 2014, a receiver antenna mount and a stronger steering stabilizer bar were added to the OpenRC 4WD Truggy. On November 21, 2013, a 57-tooth spur gear (0.8mod/32dp), along with 12, 14, and 16-tooth pinions (0.8mod/32dp), were added, as well as a center diff box with support for smaller pinions. On November 2, 2013, a spur/pinion gear cover was installed to keep dirt out, and thicker wishbones were added for improved strength. The list below details the parts used to create an almost entirely metal driveline for this vehicle using inexpensive HSP parts from eBay: - 3x HSP 02024 Differential Complete - 2x HSP 02030 Drive Gear - 2x HSP 02016 Universal Joint (1 pair) - 4x HSP 188015 Wheel Axle (2 pairs) - 2x HSP 06022 87mm Drive Shafts (1 pair) - 4x HSP 02038 Ball Head Screw - 4x Axial Narrow 12mm Aluminum Hub Hex (AX30427) Custom adapters, gears, and spacers were made to fit these parts into the standard diff housings. Pictures and STL files of these modifications can be found in the images. The wishbones, turnbuckles, and steering pins have also been adjusted in length to compensate for the smaller differential and changed axle. This setup has been running successfully with a powerful sensored brushless motor for an extended period. Note: Some parts require additional support for proper printing.
