OpenRC F1 Low Profile Palmiga Innovation / Caresto Style Tires. These tires were designed with Leif Tufvesson from Caresto AB. The tire track is based on his tires from the HOT ROD JAKOB and also the color scheme of the OpenR/C Formula 1 as you can see. Leif is restoring classic cars, designing and building hot rods, sports cars, and other unique vehicles. With a background as a technician at Volvo Research and Development Department in Gothenburg, he then spent six years developing cars at Koenigsegg. He decided to dedicate all his time to his own company and develop and manufacture his own cars in small series. Check him out here: http://www.caresto.se/ HOT ROD JAKOB is Caresto's way of combining the classic original Volvo Jakob from 1927 with modern technology and design into a hot rod for today. This car was built to celebrate Volvos 80 years anniversary. After documenting the original in detail, Caresto had the "Hot Rod of the Year" and "Most Innovative Car" award in mind for the HOT ROD JAKOB. The car attended in the Elmia exhibition in 2009 and today you can find the car at Volvos Museum in Gothenburg. HOT ROD JAKOB has also been featured in many magazines since 2009. More info about the HOT ROD JAKOB can be found here: http://www.caresto.se/cargallery/jakob.html In the pictures, I have used PI-ETPU 95-250 Carbon Black (http://rubber3dprinting.com/). Use the rims found here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1103751. Enjoy! PI-ETPU 95-250 Carbon Black is a professional 3D printer flexible and conductive filament. Don't need the conductivity? Well, the conductivity is great for some things but perhaps not your first choice? Then consider this: This filament will give you some really nice benefits if the conductivity is not an advantage for your 3D printed design: •The material composition eliminates "stringing / webbing" issues. •The hardness of 95 shore A and the carbon black filler makes for great print abilities. •The carbon black filler is an excellent UV stabilizer, so the prints are built to last in very harsh environments. •The matte black surface finish has a very exclusive look. •The material feels very nice and dry to touch. •The elongation at break is only 250%. http://rubber3dprinting.com/ http://palmiga.com/ Follow me on Instagram and/or Twitter: http://instagram.com/rubber3dprinting https://twitter.com/rubber3dprint For more information regarding the release of the F1 car, as well as other Open-RC projects, head over in this direction: http://danielnoree.com/ For OpenR/C Formula 1 print-files (after release), go here: https://pinshape.com/users/18846-danielnoree https://grabcad.com/library/openr-c-1-10-formula-1-car-1 For my designs, check out http://www.thingiverse.com/Palmiga/designs & https://www.instagram.com/rubber3dprinting/.
